TANK: Tour Dates Announced
July 5, 2011Legendary British power metal mercenaries TANK featuring Mick Tucker and Cliff Evans on guitar alongside ex-RAINBOW/YNGWIE MALMSTEEN frontman Doogie White and ex-BRUCE DICKINSON bassist Chris Dale and drummer Mark Cross (FIREWIND, HELLOWEEN, KINGDOM COME),will embark on a European tour in August.
Commented the band: "The bandmembers are delighted with the response to the tour dates so far and are looking forward to meeting as many fans as possible in all ten different countries that we are playing in. Everyone involved is looking forward to unleashing this live set which will include many classic TANK anthems as well as several tracks from our acclaimed 'War Machine' album. Cross, who joined the ranks in April, is a very welcome addition to the band and has provided an extra dimension. Wait until you hear this!"
TANK's latest album, "War Machine", was released on October 25, 2010 in Europe via Metal Mind Productions (December 7 in the U.S. through MVD). The production was handled by Pedro Ferreira (THE DARKNESS, THERAPY?, MEAT LOAF) and the bulk of the recording was done at Pedrock Studios in London. Drums were laid down by Tony Newton at Steve Harris' (IRON MAIDEN) Barnyard Studios.
"War Machine" was made available in four different versions: as a jewel case CD, a limited-edition digipak CD including two bonus tracks and LP with one bonus track. The Japanese edition of the album includes two exclusive bonus tracks which aren't available elsewhere.
